Productions that travel; stories that move

We are launching our first show, and we are incredibly excited to be starting this journey! While we do that, we are also looking at the future of Nomad.

We can't wait to see you in the audience this Fall, but if you want to do more please use the link below to donate! Donations go towards keeping the momentum moving.

These funds never go to paying people, but instead are set aside for venue and rights costs for our next show. It's an investment in keeping Nomad alive.

A Night of 10-Minute Plays

Large language models have been trained on thousands of books and scripts, meaning entire scenes can be generated with just a few strokes of the keyboard. But should generative AI have a role in the theatre? And would audiences be able to tell the difference between a genuine Eboni Booth or Tennessee Williams and plays generated to merely resemble them?

Nomad Theatre Collective is exploring these questions through a night of 10-minute plays, all written by real, human artists — except one. A panel discussion will follow, featuring guests Professor Susan Baxter (Saint Mary’s College), Micah Spiece (Wayne State University), and Professor Joshua Wells (Indiana University-South Bend).
